WHAT HAPPENED?
According to GiveMeSport, United are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, with Erik ten Hag's men prioritising a new left-back for next season. The report adds that Manchester City's influence over Girona given their common ownership by City Football Group, may also make it difficult for the Red Devils to recruit the Spain under-21 international - who is also being chased by the Hammers and the Gunners.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Left-back has proven to be a troublesome position for United in 2023/24, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia long-term absentees. And after impressing at Girona this term, where he has made 35 appearances, Gutierrez to Old Trafford could be one to watch.
DID YOU KNOW?
To complicate matters further, the report states Real Madrid have a buyback clause for the defender - who left Los Blancos for Girona in 2022. According to GiveMeSport, Madrid are in a strong position to hijack a move if it becomes clear a transfer is on the cards.
