Another Man Utd midfield option?! Red Devils add Sporting CP star Morten Hjulmand to ever-growing transfer shortlist as move for PSG's Manuel Ugarte drags on

The Red Devils have put the 24-year-old on their shortlist of summer targets, Football Transfers reports. Monaco hero Youssouf Fofana is also an option for the Old Trafford club and it was recently suggested that the Ligue 1 side are prepared to sell him in the current transfer window as he wants to leave.

United have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who is said to be available for around £59 million ($76m). The Uruguayan has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils but they are yet to strike a deal with the French champions.

Reports have also said that United are eyeing another left-back as Tyrell Malacia continues to struggle having been left out of their pre-season tour of the United States after missing the entirety of last season. Ex-Chelsea and Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso is on their list of targets for the position.

Erik ten Hag and his United side are on their way to the United States to take in pre-season friendlies against Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool. After their return, they will take on Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10.
