Man Utd's Marcus Rashford reveals special gift Cristiano Ronaldo gave him he keeps locked away that no one's allowed to touch

The England international received a special present from Portuguese superstar Ronaldo while the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was edging towards the exits at Real Madrid. The pair would later become team-mates at Old Trafford in the summer of 2021.

Rashford has always been a big fan of the all-time great and was delighted to take ownership of a pair of Nike Air Max 97 CRY Red trainers in April 2018. Said footwear was worth £145 at the time, but the sentimental value now makes them priceless to Rashford.

More than five years on from getting a gift from Ronaldo, Rashford has told Sneaker Shopping of why they have never graced his feet: “No one can touch them! He was one of my favourite players growing up. I liked the shoe, I'd love to wear the shoe but if I messed them up then I don't know what I'd do to myself. So, I'm just better to keep those ones away.”

Rashford has become a fashion icon and trend setter in his own right, with the 26-year-old attending Paris Fashion Week alongside Jude Bellingham earlier in the year – while he has also graced the front cover of Vogue.
