WHAT HAPPENED?
The right wing-back has no intention of entering negotiations at the San Siro until the transfer window has closed, according to The Athletic. This will appeal to United, who will be in need of a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka if the West Ham target leaves Old Trafford. The report adds that Dumfries, 28, is focused on leaving Inter Milan and finds the Red Devils an attractive option.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
United are in the process of offloading Wan-Bissaka, having agreed a deal in principle with the Hammers over the 26-year-old. The defender is yet to agree personal terms with Julen Lopetegui's side, however, and prefers a move to Inter. This seemingly opens the door to a potential swap deal for Dumfries, but United's preference is to sell Wan-Bissaka to West Ham and sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
