    Per Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, the Red Devils are closing in on a deal for Ugarte in the ongoing summer transfer window. While both United and PSG would prefer a permanent transfer, there remains a possibility of an initial loan move with an obligation to buy next season.

However, the club considered the valuation of the midfielder too high as the Ligue 1 champions were demanding £51 million ($66.2m).
