Luis Diaz offers update on plans for future as Barcelona reignite interest in Liverpool star after Nico Williams snub

Deco, tasked with rejuvenating Barcelona's left wing, is believed to be focused on Díaz as his Plan A. The Liverpool star has two years left on his current deal at Anfield, and his representatives are said to be open to discussions with the English club regarding a possible transfer this summer. And now that Williams is off the table, Barcelona have taken active interest in the winger.

Speaking about the mounting speculation surrounding his future, Díaz chose to be diplomatic.

"It's not known yet, we're talking with the board. We're comfortable with where I am, and we'll have to see," he told Colombian television station WinSports.

However, should a move for Díaz prove too costly or complex, Deco has a backup option: Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. The English international is also said to be keen on a switch to La Liga and is reportedly willing to reduce his wage demands to help facilitate a move to Camp Nou.

Complicating Barcelona’s plans further is Bayern Munich’s reported interest in the Colombian winger. The German giants are said to be actively seeking a replacement for Leroy Sane. They boast of having the financial strength and sporting ambition which could convince Diaz to make a switch to Munich if he decides to leave Merseyside.

As rumours swirl about a potential move, Díaz finds himself at a career crossroads. Barcelona’s interest is real, but financial constraints and competition from Bayern Munich could make any deal difficult. Deco faces a tough decision: push hard for Díaz or pivot to Rashford as a more attainable target.
