The Reds reportedly opened talks with the 39-year-old's agent last week and journalist Pedro Sepulveda has now claimed that another meeting was scheduled for Monday to discuss the final terms of his contract with the Anfield club. Amorim took charge of Sporting four years ago and guided the club to the Primeira Liga title in his first season, winning the first of his two Taca da Liga crowns in the same season. His contract with the Portuguese club runs until 2026.
