    The Reds midfielder has endorsed the name of England Under 21 coach Lee Carsley as the next manager of the Three Lions as the Football Association looks for candidates to replace Gareth Southgate at the helm. The 53-year-old parted ways with the senior national team after his side went down against Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

    Elliott used to be a regular starter under Carsley and played an important role in England winning the U21 European Championship last summer. The 21-year-old hailed Carsley as an 'unbelievable manager' while also claiming that several top clubs are also chasing him.

    Speaking to reporters, the Reds star said: "Lee is an unbelievable manager and an unbelievable guy. He is ready to step up. There have been a lot of big clubs sniffing around him and that is credit to himself and his coaching. Whenever I step on the pitch for England I just have freedom to enjoy my football. I feel like he is ready. They are conversations for them (at the FA). "
