  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Merseyside Police, Lewis Cleary threw the bottle as the coach headed to Anfield on December 17, 2023. The force said the 23-year-old, who was convicted of criminal damage at Sefton Magistrates' Court, Liverpool, caused damage to a side window before the Reds played United earlier this season.

    On top of his three-year ban, Cleary also received a 150-hour community order and was told to pay £500 in compensation and costs. Police will hope there is no fan trouble ahead of United hosting the Reds at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
