Lionesses star Chloe Kelly aims dig after winning Champions League with Arsenal following January move from Man City

Kelly played 68 minutes of the showdown in Lisbon, as Stina Blackstenius scored a 74th-minute winner to seal glory for the Gunners. After ending a difficult season with a medal, she then took a pop at her doubters in Instagram.

Posing with the medal, with Arsenal fans behind her, Kelly wrote: "Once written off..."

Kelly started the season at Manchester City but suspended her five-year association with the club in acrimonious circumstances in January. The Lioness made just one WSL start in the first half of the season and claimed in a social media post that she wanted "to be happy again", before being allowed to leave for Arsenal on a loan deal.

Kelly is out of contract at City this summer and will not return to the club. It is not yet clear whether Arsenal will sign her on a free transfer.
