Lionel Messi laughs with Luis Suarez & sends two-word message to fans as Inter Miami begin training for 2025 MLS season

Inter Miami players assembled on the first day of training ahead of the 2025 MLS season under the tutelage of new manager Javier Mascherano. Messi later shared some photographs from the training session, and in one of the images he can been laughing with teammate Luis Suarez.

In the caption of his Instagram post, the Argentine star shared a two-word message for the fans as he wrote: "We start."

The Herons had a mixed experience in Messi's first full season in the United States. The Herons finished the league stage strongly and bagged the MLS Supporters' Shield for the first time in their history. However, in the first round of the MLS playoffs, Miami faced elimination after losing two of the three matches they played against Atlanta United.

Last week the David Beckham-owned side unveiled their preseason plan, confirming a five-match schedule leading up to the start of the 2025 MLS season. After playing friendlies in Asia as part of a globe-trotting 2024 tour, the Herons will stay in the Western Hemisphere this time around as they bounce across North, South and Central America.
