Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the Argentine side have turned down an ambitious offer from Botafogo - which included a clause to involve sister clubs Crystal Palace or Olympique Lyon - making room for the Herons to swoop. A bid from Lionel Messi and Co. is expected to arrive soon.

If the Herons land Medina on top of their already otherworldly roster, their XI - on paper - is instantly the best across MLS.
