Inter Miami have reportedly got the answer they wanted after putting various contract questions to Lionel Messi, with the Argentine GOAT ready to sign a “multiyear” extension with the MLS outfit. His current deal is due to expire at the end of the 2025 campaign, but the South American superstar is poised to end any speculation regarding his future.
According to ESPN, an agreement has been reached that will keep the 38-year-old in Miami - where his wife Antonela and their three sons feel settled. It is said that once all of the extension details have been ironed out, “the contract will be sent to Major League Soccer for final approval”.
How many more years? Waiting in terms of Messi deal
It has previously been suggested that Messi is ready to commit his future to Inter Miami through to 2028 - which would be another three seasons in MLS. It remains to be seen what the terms actually are, with a global audience waiting patiently on official confirmation of the proposed deal.
