Lauryn Goodman vows to speak out after a 'year of smear campaign lies' as frustrations over Kyle Walker saga continue

The ex-Love Island contestant is mother to two children that Walker conceived outside of his long-term relationship with wife Annie Kilner. That former relationship has put considerable strain on his marriage, with divorce talk seemingly never far away.

Walker, who is currently taking in a loan spell at AC Milan after leaving Manchester City in the winter transfer window, has been making unfortunate headlines again in Italy. He was spotted getting cosy with two women during a night out in Italy the day after Kilner and their four children returned to the UK from a visit to Milan.

Walker is attracting more criticism as a result – despite the women in question said to be friends of the 34-year-old’s Italian agent – with supporters of Goodman asking why she continues to be portrayed as a villain by some despite doing her best to manage a difficult situation.

Goodman is now planning to make more public statements. Responding to a social media post in which Walker was branded a "disgrace", "pathetic" and a "manipulative a*s wipe", Goodman said: "I think at some point I will have to clear a few things up just so people can understand why I do speak out when things like this happen. Been a year of smear campaign lies. It can be frustrating but all in good time."

It was suggested at one stage that Goodman may look to follow Walker to Italy, as she plans a fresh start of her own. Those rumours have been played down, but the six-time Premier League title winner is still waiting on Kilner to make a decision on whether she will be joining him on a permanent basis.
