Kyle Walker 'stunned' as wife Annie Kilner serves divorce papers to Man City star after Lauryn Goodman affair - with couple 'no longer on speaking terms'

Kilner and Walker's relationship has hit the headlines throughout this year after the Manchester City star's affair with Lauryn Goodman. Walker has fathered two children with Goodman and the couple were embroiled in a legal wrangle that finally came to an end during the summer. The England defender had since been working through his marital problems with Kilner in a bid to save his marriage but has now been rocked by his wife's decision to file for divorce, according to The Sun.

A source told the tabloid: "Kyle was stunned when he got the papers. He's spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn't necessarily mean they will divorce. This is as much Annie flexing her muscles as it is anything else. She wants Kyle to know she's not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire."

The relationship between Kilner and Walker has now "turned ugly", with The Sun claiming that the couple are "no longer on speaking terms". Kilner is believed to want half of Walker's £27 million fortune if the couple do split in a bid to secure a future for her and the couple's children.

Walker has feared losing his marriage over the Goodman scandal and has admitted to making "idiot choices" when betraying his "soulmate." The Manchester City star now faces a battle to save his marriage as it appears the damage done to their relationship may be beyond repair.
