Kobbie Mainoo to leave Manchester United?! Midfielder ready to snub contract offer as he seeks move abroad

According to The Guardian, Mainoo is minded to reject a new contract and seek an exit from United this summer. The midfielder has yet to agree a new deal with the Red Devils, as he and his representatives are seeking an increase on his £20,000-per-week basic wage. United believe he could still be convinced to extend his terms but he would be open to a move abroad.

United would want to receive a fee of around £70 million ($90m) for the midfielder, and he has been mentioned as a possible target for Chelsea, although he is not said to be willing to join another Premier League club. No side has yet entered into negotiations with United over a deal.

Mainoo has somewhat fallen down the pecking order at United and has made just 15 Premier League starts. Under Ruben Amorim, his progress has been curtailed by an unfortunately timed muscle injury.

United face Arsenal this weekend before the second leg of their clash with Real Sociedad.
