Liverpool thumped Tottenham 5-1 on Sunday and were crowned champions as a result, with Klopp's successor Arne Slot becoming one of a small group of managers to win the title in his first season. With four games of the season left, Slot's side could end the campaign with an impressive total of 94 points, which would be the highest of any champion since Klopp's 2019/20 Reds side, who garnered 99 points.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Klopp won the league once in his time with the Reds but was unable to hoist the Premier League trophy aloft in front of supporters, as his side claimed victory during the COVID-19 pandemic. Slot took the time to shout out the German with a chant after full-time on Sunday, and he has now issued a touching message on Instagram.
WHAT JURGEN KLOPP SAID
Klopp wrote on Instagram: "Super grateful for the past, super, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future! Congratulations - YNWA. Thank You Luv."
