Joao Felix's Chelsea comeback?! Blues in bombshell transfer talks over Atletico Madrid attacker in bid to keep Conor Gallagher & Julian Alvarez moves alive, as Samu Omorodion deal collapses

Portugal international Felix took in a short loan spell with the Blues during the 2022-23 campaign – scoring four goals through 20 appearances. He spent last season with Barcelona, with the 24-year-old making it clear that the Blaugrana were his “dream” club.

Felix is expected to be on the move again this summer, with Atletico ready to cash in, and he could retrace his steps to England. That is because the Rojiblancos need somebody to counter their move for Chelsea midfielder Gallagher.

Samu Omorodion, fresh from winning Olympic gold with Spain, was supposed to be the man to tick that box. According to Relevo, though, he has failed to pass medical tests in west London – forcing him back to the Spanish capital as a €40 million (£34m/$44m) deal that would have covered the cost of acquiring Gallagher collapses.

In a bid to keep that transfer alive, Fabrizio Romano claims that Felix is back on the table. Discussions with his agent, Jorge Mendes, are said to have taken place in London. If the Portuguese forward agrees to head back to Chelsea, then Atletico can press ahead with efforts to bring Gallagher on board alongside Manchester City’s World Cup-winning striker Julian Alvarez.
