In an interview with 10bet Casino, Collymore said: “I wasn’t a fan of Jadon Sancho being brought in [at Villa]. I think he's just one of those players now that Manchester United can't get rid of, because somebody won't come up and pony up a big fee or his wages to sign him permanently. If he doesn’t start producing, he's just going to go out on a succession of loans, but I'm disappointed with how he’s been playing over the last few years. I remember him breaking on the scene at Manchester City, and then he obviously went over to Dortmund and was firing with the likes of Erling Haaland.
“He joined United for a massive fee. He joined a club that was in disarray, and it wasn’t the right time to go to Manchester United for any player let alone Sancho, to be honest. He's been really disappointing since he arrived in the Premier League. Sancho’s got to get his head down and deliver because if he doesn't his career is just going to turn into a circus, and he’ll be stuck in an endless loop of loan moves. It's important that he has a good, long spell at Villa where he impresses.”
