Sancho's journey at Manchester United is nearing its end. The club and the player both want to part ways, but it is easier said than done. After the winger's disappointing spells at United and Chelsea, Sancho hasn't been able to attract much interest. However, according to journalist Patrick Berger, Sancho's former club, Dortmund, are having internal talks and contemplating if a deal to bring the Englishman back to his former home is the right step.
The ex-Manchester City player's time at Old Trafford yielded 58 Premier League appearances with nine goals and six assists. While on a season-long loan at Chelsea, he played 31 league games in which he scored three goals and registered four assists. During his 2023–24 loan return to Dortmund, he played 14 Bundesliga games in which he scored two goals and provided two assists. Across these spells, his output fell short of expectations and highlights the struggles he has faced to reclaim his initial Dortmund form.
WHAT SEBASTIAN KEHL SAID
Dortmund sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, when asked about the possibility of signing Sancho, said: "[Jadon] is constantly being linked with us. I understand the desire. We’re thinking about it within our possibilities. The conditions have to be right. We will definitely do something, but we’re limited."

WHAT NEXT FOR SANCHO?
United have reportedly set a price tag of €20 million (£17m/$23m) for the English winger. Dortmund value Sancho's abilities but have doubts about him, given his failed recent spells and the potential of facing a backlash if they go overboard in their expenditure. However, having lost Jamie Gittens to Chelsea the addition of Sancho can help bolster the team in the wings. The Bundesliga club will have to decide on their final stance as Niko Kovac's side have already begun their pre-season and are set to face Lille in their upcoming fixture on August 2.
