Transfer hint? Ivan Toney 'deletes' Declan Rice Instagram story after Arsenal's last-ditch victory over Luton amid Gunners links

The Daily Mirror reports that the Brentford striker allegedly posted an Instagram story in which he praised Rice after Arsenal's 4-3 win over Luton on Tuesday. Toney, they claim, uploaded a picture of himself watching the game and wrote: "@DeclanRice. What a game."

Toney is currently banned due to gambling offences but will return to action in January. However, it remains to be seen if he will be doing so for Brentford or the Gunners amid links with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Reports suggest he would cost around £60 million ($76m).

Toney has been a reliable Premier League goalscorer during his time in west London and has netted 32 times in 68 top-flight games. Last season, he scored 20 goals in 33 appearances, before his suspension was ratified.

He will continue training before making his comeback in 2024. With Euro 2024 also looming, he will hope to play regularly and hit the back of the net in order to put himself back in contention for selection.
