After Piero Ausilio left and his former deputy Dario Baccin became Inter's new sporting director, Baccin's previous role opened up. Inter had long been looking for someone more closely involved with the youth sector and young player development than a traditional sporting director. They chose Simone Lo Schiavo.

Today, the club confirmed his appointment as Director of Football Development.

    Inter have announced that Simone Lo Schiavo has joined the club. He took up his role on 5 November 2026 as Director of Football Development, reporting directly to Chief Football Officer Dario Baccin.

  • From Roma to Palermo, Lo Schiavo’s experience as a club executive

    After an initial spell at Vibonese, Lo Schiavo worked as director of scouting and then technical coordinator of A.S. Roma's youth sector. He later served as head of scouting at U.S. Salernitana before joining Palermo F.C.'s scouting department.
