Harry Kane tipped for ‘one or two more’ seasons in the Premier League as part of post-World Cup transfer plan at Bayern Munich

By the time another bid for global glory comes to a close, with Kane set to lead England into that tournament as captain of his country, the most prolific of No.9s will have completed three seasons at the Allianz Arena.

He has already become a Bundesliga title winner, allowing his trophy curse to be lifted, and will hope to add to his medal collection before the 2025-26 campaign comes to a close. It is being suggested that he could be on the move again in the summer that sees him turn 33.

A move to Barcelona has been mooted, which would see him follow in the footsteps of Robert Lewandowski again, while talk of a return to his homeland - with an Alan Shearer goal record to potentially chase down - is seemingly never far away.

Quizzed on whether Kane could be planning a new challenge in Spain or England, ex-Bayern star Dietmar Hamann - speaking in association with Grosvenor Casino - told GOAL: “Well, he’s got two years left, and obviously Bayern were very, very keen on Nick Woltemade this summer, which in the end they didn’t get.

“A lot of people have been saying that Kane might leave, or will probably leave, after the World Cup. I don’t know whether people know more than I do, I’ve not heard anything, but a lot of people suggested it.

“It’s obviously the last year of his contract that Bayern Munich can get a fee for him. But then people said he might want to go back to England and play in the Premier League for one or two more seasons. It’s certainly something I can see.

“Obviously, Bayern haven’t got a replacement now because Woltemade didn’t come, [Nicolas] Jackson is only there on loan. It’s a long way away; you need to see what happens in the World Cup. But I think there’s a possibility that he might leave after the World Cup.”

Kane became Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer before bidding farewell to north London in 2023. He has stated on a regular basis that he has many more seasons left in him, with longevity inspiration being taken from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
