    THE BIGGER PICTURE

While his goal was pivotal, Kane’s defensive efforts were equally celebrated. The England captain covered an impressive 11.5 kilometres, executed 25 sprints, and was involved in nine tackles throughout the match. His commitment extended to making tactical fouls, including a challenge on Lucas Holer that earned him a yellow card in the 63rd minute.

  • WHAT KIMMICH SAID ABOUT KANE

Kimmich was full of praise for Kane’s all-around contribution, particularly his defensive work. Speaking to Sky after the match, he said, "When I see what kind of game Harry played, after he's had a few problems in the last few weeks, he was in our box, defending everything. He threw himself into it, got a yellow card, was on the ground, fought, ran back. That was an outstanding game from him."

Highlighting Kane's willingness to fight for the team he added: "Regardless of the goal, he is often judged by goals, but what he did for the team is exactly what we need. It's not always about scoring a hat trick to win, but also about standing together as a team and pulling it off."
