Harry Kane compared to Brazil legend Roberto Carlos as Bayern Munich striker is picked as player with 'best shooting technique' in world football by former Arsenal star

Former Bayern Munich and Arsenal star Podolski picked Kane when he was asked about the player with the best shooting ability in the world right now. Podolski also compared the English striker with himself and legendary full-back Carlos, who is widely recognised as one of the most accomplished strikers of a football in history.

Podolski, currently plying his trade in Poland with Gornik Zabrze, was renowned for his explosive shooting ability in a career where he played for Bayern, Arsenal, and Inter among other teams.

"Podolski’s made a real impact. I’ve not seen many finishers as good as him - ever," former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's then-assistant Steve Bould told reporters in September 2012 following the Gunners' win over Montpeiller (h/t The Sun).

“Right foot, left foot. They always go in at 100mph in training. He’s a good trainer, a good boy. He’s really added something this year," Bould added.

In an interview with BILD, Podolski was asked which current player has the best shooting technique, to which the ex-Germany international replied: "Harry Kane has excellent shooting technique - there's a lot to learn from him. But guys like Roberto Carlos or Lukas Podolski are, of course, hard to beat!"

Kane's shooting ability will be needed if Bayern Munich are to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League. Indeed, the Bavarians suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Inter at home in the first leg of their last-eight clash on Tuesday. Before the second leg at the San Siro next week, Kane will be leading the frontline against Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker on Saturday, as Vincent Kompany's side aim to avoid a slip-up at the top of the table with six games to go.
