The midfielder was substituted at half-time in Switzerland-North Macedonia

Djibril Sow, the Genoa and Switzerland midfielder, went off injured at the end of the first half in Switzerland-North Macedonia, a fourth-round Group 1 fixture in League B of the Nations League.

Born in 1997, he watched the second half from the bench with a bandage. Sow joined Genoa in the summer and has made six appearances for the rossoblu so far this season, five in the league and one in the Coppa Italia.

  • The extent of the injury will be assessed over the next few hours. On Saturday, after the international break, Genoa resume their league campaign at home to Fiorentina at 15:00 at the Marassi on matchday six of Serie A.
