The Local Organising Committee of the FIFA Arab Cup and the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025 announced on Tuesday that the draw for the tournaments will be held in Doha on Sunday, May 25. The draw will be conducted at the Raffles hotel and the star-studded event will be attended by Qatari as well as gobal football legends.

For the first time in history, 48 teams from across the globe will take part in the U-17 World Cup. A total of 104 matches will be played over 25 days. The 2025 edition of the competition will be the first of five consecutive U-17 World Cups that will be held in Qatar through to 2029.

The FIFA Arab Cup 2025, which will run from December 1 to 18, will see 16 teams competing in Doha. As of now, nine teams have secured their berths in the final competition, including reigning champions Algeria and hosts Qatar. The remaining seven slots will be filled via play-offs, that will take place in November.

The Qatar national team will be back in action next month as they are scheduled to face Iran and Uzbekistan in 2026 World Cup qualifiers on June 5 and 10, respectively.
