Sancho travels to Brighton
Not picked by Erik ten Hag
May still leave
WHAT HAPPENED?
Per Fabrizio Romano, Sancho travelled to Brighton with United's squad but was not picked to either start the game or sit on the bench. He could leave the club before the end of the transfer window, having spent last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that there are still "issues" within his squad.
After the match, Romano revealed that United are negotiating transfer deals for Sancho and that was the reason he was left out of the matchday squad on Saturday. Juventus are close to signing Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina, however, they remain interested in signing the England international.
WHAT TEN HAG SAID
Ten Hag said: “I had a choice to make. We had some issues, we need a full squad. He's one of them and needs to compete for his position."
