The Portuguese star's 68th-minute penalty strike helped Al-Nassr finally end their miserable winless run as they pipped rivals Al-Ahli in an important Saudi Pro League clash. After scoring the winner, Ronaldo took to social media to share a defiant message for the club and their fans.

On Instagram, the 39-year-old hold shared a photograph of himself celebrating the winning goal with his teammates and wrote in the caption, "Back to winning ways. Let's go team!!"

Al Nassr failed to register three points in their last two league games while they also crashed out of the AFC Champions League quarter-final after going down 3-1 on penalties against Hernan Crespo-managed UAE Pro League side Al-Ain. With the win on Friday, Ronaldo's side reduced the gap with league leaders Al-Hilal to nine points.

The Saudi Arabian giants will be next seen in action after the international break on March 31 as they take on Al-Tai in a league game.
