Despite spending his formative football years at Manchester City, Palmer revealed he is a boyhood United supporter and frequently went to Old Trafford in his youth. Fast-forward to the present and the Chelsea ace still gets excited about playing at the Red Devils' famous ground.

WHAT COLE PALMER SAID
He told Sky Sports: "When I do go back to the stadium [Old Trafford] it's good because I used to go and watch matches there."
When asked who was his icon growing up, he revealed it was United legend Wayne Rooney, saying: "Obviously I supported United and he was probably the best player when I was watching them."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
United would love to have a player of Palmer's quality at present as he has become one of the best players in the Premier League at Chelsea. Perhaps a Red Devils move could be on the cards one day.
