'Been garbage for four years' - Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry torn to shreds for ignoring furious Harry Kane & blazing shot miles wide from ridiculous angle in Champions League clash with Aston Villa

Konrad Laimer set up Gnabry on the right flank with a perfectly-weighted ball over the top. The winger darted into the box but instead of squaring it back to Kane, who had made a run to the far post, the forward chose to rely on his own capabilities and tried to find the net from an acute angle with Emiliano Martinez in his way. His effort sailed well wide of the target, leaving Kane fuming and repeatedly shouting 'Serge' at his team-mate.

A Bayern fan, @MusialaEra, hit out at Gnbary for his selfish act and wrote: "Gnabry has been garbage for 4 years now but people keep falling for his purple patch that usually lasts 3 weeks. 3 weeks of good football every season and Bayern fans still want him here let that sink in."

While @UtdTony3 wrote: "The guy is selfish".

@developertomek defended Kane for his reaction and wrote: "That’s some serious frustration from Kane! It's always tough when a great opportunity is missed."

Whereas, @McDabbin311 suggested: "Get Gnabry out."

And @rickygrimesie echoed his thought and wrote: "Take Gnabry off NEOOOOOWWWWW"

Gnabry was shifted to the left wing by Vincent Kompany after the break and the winger did show some improvement. The forward has got two goals and three assists in seven matches across competitions this season but is yet to make a goal contribution in the Champions League.

Bayern will next head to Eintracht Frankfurt for their next Bundesliga fixture, and Gnabry will hope to have more of an impact there.
