Bad news for Bayern Munich! Newcastle determined to keep Kieran Trippier in January transfer rumours with Callum Wilson sale also off the table

The Bavarians are looking to reunite the former Tottenham Hotspur full-back with Harry Kane and Eric Dier at the Allianz Arena. However, the Magpies are not interested in a deal for Trippier, as per The Athletic. The report has also suggested that Eddie Howe doesn't want Callum Wilson sold or loaned out this month as he believes the two experienced players are pivotal to his plans for the rest of the season. Wilson has garnered interest from Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid over a January move.

It has also been reported by the Daily Mail that AC Milan are very interested in the 31-year-old and would like to sign him this month. Additionally, the striker is open to negotiations with the Rossoneri, if Newcastle are open to the move.

Newcastle are unwilling to sell the two important players, despite being quite close to the edge in terms of Premier League sustainability and profitability rules. They have almost closed the deal for Miguel Almiron's move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab, a move that would see them get more operating space with the profitability and sustainability rules.

Although Tino Livramento, who cost about £40 million ($50.8 million) to sign from Southampton, is thought to be Trippier's long-term replacement, Newcastle believe their captain is still essential to the club's ambitions for this season at the very least. The same is the case with Wilson, who has already been overtaken by Alexander Isak in the pecking order but has the trust of Howe as an experienced striker.

If the duo is not to leave the Magpies this season, they will have a difficult path ahead of them as the Public Investment Fund-owned club's performances have fallen off and they face an uphill path to make the Champions League for a second straight season.
