Bayern Munich BANNED from wearing red home shirts in Champions League as UEFA clamp down on Harry Kane and Co.

Per BILD, UEFA have banned Bayern Munich from donning their red home kit in any of their Champions League fixtures in the 2024/25 campaign. The report adds that the jersey numbers and players' names, written in black font on the back of the shirts, do not offer enough contrast, thereby violating visibility regulations for jersey numbers, as per UEFA. The apex body has reportedly asked the Bavarian side to change the font colours to white.

UEFA's ruling has been applied to the club since the start of the 2024/25 season as Vincent Kompany's side have not worn their home kit in any of their eight league stage matches. They either wore the black away kit or the beige retro jerseys with the old club logo.

After finishing 12th in the league stage, with five wins out of eight appearances, the Bundesliga giants are all set to face Celtic in a two-legged Champions League knockout play-off clash.

Harry Kane and Co. will travel to Glasgow this midweek as they take on Celtic in the first leg of their play-off fixture on Wednesday, before facing reigning German champions Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
