    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Dembele produced a season for the ages, and in a new position at that. Indeed, PSG head coach Luis Enrique tweaked his tactics and deployed Dembele in a false nine role centrally. The move paid dividends, as the ex-Barcelona man produced his greatest goal scoring season to date, finding the back of the net 33 times in 49 games. He wreaked havoc against all defences and played a big hand in helping Les Parisiens win every single trophy on offer. His individual displays and immeasurable impact on the collective has made him one of the favourites to lift this year's Ballon d'Or.

  • WHAT OUSMANE DEMBELE SAID

Speaking to France Football, Dembele was asked which performance from the 2024-25 season he considers to be his best. The Frenchman stated: "It was against Arsenal, in the first leg. I felt good, I think I played a good game. If I hadn't gone off injured, I think I would have had the opportunity to score a second time."
