Mikel Arteta has decided to leave first-choice David Raya out of the squad for the midweek tie after the shot stopper was seen limping with a bandaged knee after his team's 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday.

Arteta has been left with a tough situation, though, as backup goalkeeper Neto is cup-tied after playing in the competition for Bournemouth before joining Arsenal on loan in the summer, while 18-year-old Tommy Setford, who joined from Ajax in the summer, is injured.

Porter is the remaining option to line up in the third-round tie against the League One team and will get the nod to start, The Athletic says. He has reportedly been training with the senior team since the 2022-23 campaign and has featured in the Premier League 2 with the Under-21s this season.

The north London team will look to join rivals Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup by beating Bolton.
