<p>The Reds boss explained why his Dutch father will not be attending the club's away fixture against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday as he came up with a hilarious reason. Liverpool are on course to secure a direct spot in the round of 16, having won all of their previous seven outings. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to reporters at his pre-match press conference, the Dutch coach said: "My father will not be here. He says that he can watch the match on television much better, he sees many more things. He is from Bergentheim, where I was born. What I don't miss in the Netherlands is the amount of traffic that we have in this country. So I don't think that he had to drive two and a half hours but much longer than that. So I don't think that he will be watching with too many nerves from the couch at home."</p>

WHAT ARNE SLOT SAID

<p>Slot had mentioned in the past that his father, Arend Slot Sr, follows Liverpool's games closely and is his biggest critic.
