THE BIGGER PICTURE
Gordon suffered no lasting damage, but will be cursing his luck after taking a heavy fall. The 23-year-old took part in a training drill on Thursday that saw him sporting a large scab on his chin. He also had a graze on his nose.
DID YOU KNOW?
Further cuts on Gordon’s wrist could be seen under his long-sleeved top, on his knuckles and left knee – with a plaster required to help keep that injury clean. The Magpies forward was able to complete Gareth Southgate’s session without any difficulties.
