Ange In or Ange Out?! Tottenham make decision on Postecoglou future amid horror run as do-or-die fixture emerges

According to the Daily Mail, Postecoglou retains the backing of the Tottenham hierarchy but their Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Liverpool is said to be 'key' to the Australian's prospects.

Tottenham have won just one of their last six Premier League games, leaving them 12th in the division after their worst half season since 2008/09. Spurs do have a huge injury list, particularly in defence, and while that has not helped their cause, that may not save Postecoglou's job if results don't improve.

The report adds that as Tottenham are still in the Europa League and Carabao Cup, that works in Postecoglou's favour. But there is an acknowledgment that results need to improve under the former Celtic manager's watch.

Postecoglou's side will hope to return to winning ways on Sunday when they host lowly Wolves in the Premier League. The first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final is at home to Liverpool on January 8.
