    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Sun, on the other hand, reports that Chelsea are plotting a late swoop for the striker as they look to bolster their attack before the transfer window closes. The Bees are now considering parting ways with Toney as they are reportedly ready to accept an offer in the region of £45m (€53m/$58m).

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Brentford had earlier valued Toney at £70m, however, they have now reduced their demands after the player made it clear that he wants to exit the Gtech Community Stadium. Toney scored four goals in 17 Premier League appearances for the Bees last season.

After starting the season with a 2-1 win over Palace, Thomas Frank's side will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool at Anfield, with Toney likely to be sitting on the sidelines once again as transfer negotiations continue.
