Despite acknowledging the huge fans base in Kano, the defender insists fans of his former side are more demanding than Sai Masu Gida's

Chinedu Udoji says Enyimba fans have more insatiable appetite for domestic title success than his new side Kano Pillars.

While with the People’s Elephants, the defender won six trophies including two Nigerian Professional Football League titles before reuniting with his former trainer Kadiri Ikhana in Kano.

According to him, Pillars' fans are gradually demanding but still not close to their Aba based rivals who have won a record seven NPFL titles.

"Kano Pillars and Enyimba both have a lot of fans and both are very demanding," Udoji told Goal.

"I've played for Enyimba close to seven seasons. I think Enyimba fans are more demanding because the club always wants to win trophies.

"It is only last season we failed to win a trophy and it was like we did not achieve anything despite playing in the Caf Champions League.

"For the past seven seasons, I've always been pushing myself to win a trophy except for last season that I could not win anything.''

"The target every season is to win a trophy. We tag it as a bad season when the club doesn't win a trophy. And that's how the philosophy of the club has always been for years,'' he continued.

"Kano Pillars won the league title three times in a row. And when you attain such success, you will want to keep celebrating a trophy.

"They have not won a trophy in the last two seasons. And this time, the fans are massively supportive, more demanding and the pressure is high on the team.

"Though I'm just coming to the team [Kano Pillars], but I must admit that Enyimba fans are more demanding because of their past achievement and the standard they've attained.

"But without mincing words, both teams are among of the biggest teams in Nigeria football and no doubt the fans will want trophies."
