Robyn left Cape Town as a 15 year old to pursue a career as a professional soccer player. Having played for the likes of Orlando Pirates, Sundowns and Amazulu, he is back home in Cape Town and enjoying a successful stint with the newly formed PSL outfit, winners of the Telkom Cup in their first season.

Being back home sets the perfect scene for the centre back to ‚give back’ and what better way than to partner with an established NGO.

"I first heard about Young Bafana when Roland Putsche my City teammate introduced me to the Founder Bernd Steinhage. A couple of weeks later, Roland and I went to watch their U18’s compete in a cup final. Knowing how much of a positive impact sport and education can have on a childs life, it was immediately clear to see how the children at  Young Bafana are benefiting from the organisations outreach programmes.

Now I´m 100 % dedicated to this project, giving back for me is part of my responsibility and I feel blessed to be able to help out, no matter where I can.”
