Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney still spending! Wrexham 'hope for more transfer activity' in record-shattering summer window

The history books have been rewritten in North Wales during an elaborate spending spree. Lewis O’Brien has become the Red Dragons’ costliest purchase after completing a move from Nottingham Forest.

Further Premier League pedigree has been found in Conor Coady, while Josh Windass and Ryan Hardie bring useful Championship experience to SToK Racecourse. There is the promise of more to come.

Wales international striker Kieffer Moore is expected to become another addition to Phil Parkinson’s ranks, while Nathan Broadhead may yet be acquired from Ipswich in a stunning £7.5 million deal that raises the transfer bar even further.

Parkinson has hinted at more movement, telling Wrexham’s official YouTube channel on the back of a friendly outing against Groningen: “Are we completely ready? I hope there's a bit more transfer activity this week but by next Saturday we will be ready for action.”

Wrexham, who are bidding to win a record-extending fourth successive promotion and reach the Premier League, are set to open their 2025-26 Championship campaign away at Southampton on Saturday.
