Foden winds down after the Euros
Catches carps and catfishes in Oxfordshire
Set to return to training on August 5
WHAT HAPPENED?
For his off-time following the end of the Euros, the Manchester City midfielder chose to spend time with his father fishing for carp, catfish, tench, pike, and perch in St John's Pool at Linear Fisheries in Oxfordshire, instead of jetting off on an exotic holiday.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
In an interview with Manchester City last year, Foden had revealed that he thoroughly enjoys fishing during his off days as he spoke about his unique hobby. During the interview, he said: "The odd one likes fishing, so when people find out they say, 'What a weird sport to enjoy'. They don't understand why you enjoy it. I think it's the perfect hobby to rest your legs and have some downtime."
DID YOU KNOW?
Foden has posted a number of his best catches on social media from his travels to lakes in the UK and Spain, where he caught his biggest fish to date—a massive 130 lb (59 kg) catfish.
