'Depending on the weather!' - Luis Enrique gives bizarre response to whether Kylian Mbappe will be benched again for PSG

The mercurial French winger was back in the starting XI and netted a brace during midweek as Paris Saint-Germain beat Real Sociedad 2-1 to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals. With the club now preparing to face Reims in a Ligue 1 clash on Sunday, manager Luis Enrique was asked if he could bench Mbappe again to which he came up with a bizarre response.

The Spanish manager told reporters, "I didn't ask him if he had any problems. We'll see depending on the weather, if it's hot or not!"

There have been speculation the 25-year-old has fallen out with manager Luis Enrique, although he refuted those claims last week suggesting that he has several other problems to deal with at the moment. The PSG star is all set to leave the club in the summer as he has verbally agreed to join La Liga giants Real Madrid next season.

With Mbappe set to leave, Les Parisiens have already made a shortlist of players who could replace their talisman. They have been linked with moves for AC Milan star Rafael Leao, Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal.
