The Manchester City captain informed manager Pep Guardiola he wanted to leave the club earlier this month. Walker has been linked with a move to several teams from the Saudi Pro League, but it has been reported he would rather stay in Europe to work on his marriage to Kilner.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Serie A giants AC Milan are considered favourites to secure the England star's signature. Calciomercato has reported that while Milan have made Walker's signing their top priority for the January window, they are proposing an initial loan move with an option to buy him in the summer for €5m. As part of the loan deal, the Rossoneri are willing to pay €1m up front.
DID YOU KNOW?
Per the Daily Mail, Walker and Kilner are likely to initially live in a hotel should they move to Italy. At the top of a prospective shortlist is the Bulgari Hotel, where the most expensive suite costs a staggering €20,000 (£16,863/$20,538) a night.

WHAT NEXT FOR WALKER?
It remains to be seen whether Walker will return to action for the Cityzens when they take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday at Portman Road. He was not part of the squad which drew 2-2 at Brentford in midweek.
