  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Jesus started during Arsenal’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United on January 12 but was forced off the pitch after just 41 minutes as he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury on his left knee. He subsequently went under the knife and missed the rest of the 2024-25 campaign, which severely affected the Gunners in the Premier League title race.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    On Monday, the striker shared a video of himself training using Palmeiras' facilities as he assured the Arsenal fans that he is working on returning to action ahead of the 2025-26 season. In the caption of his social media post, Jesus wrote: "It’s been 6 months since the surgery, it’s great to be able to move around like this again."

    While Jesus is on his way back to return to action, Mikel Arteta is also looking to add a quality No. 9 to further bolster the team's attack. The management is working behind the scenes to sign one of Viktor Gyorekes and Benjamin Sesko from Sporting CP and RB Leipzig, respectively.
