Borussia Dortmund tell Juventus to pay up or back off as Bundesliga side make Karim Adeyemi demands clear

According to Sport Bild, the Serie A giants have shown strong interest in signing Adeyemi, and are lining up a bid worth up to €50m (£43m/$58m). However, Dortmund have made it abundantly clear that such a bid won’t cut it. The German club’s front office, including managing director Lars Ricken and sporting director Sebastian Kehl, see Adeyemi as the new face of the club and would prefer not to sell.

Dortmund recently parted ways with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who joined Chelsea for €60m (£50m/$62m). They do not plan to sell another young attacker in the same window. The German club made their intentions clear during the Club World Cup in the United States, where they heavily promoted him in the media.

The German side intend to open talks with Adeyemi in the winter over a potential contract extension. The 23-year-old winger is already tied to the club until 2027, but the club wants to secure him for the long term early to avoid entering the final year of his deal under pressure. If he were to be sold, the asking price is set at over €60m (£52m/$70m).

Adeyemi recorded seven goals and six assists last season for Dortmund and ranked among the top 10 Bundesliga players in successful dribbles per 90 minutes.

With Gittens gone and Julien Duranville unavailable due to injury, Adeyemi will be at the forefront of the club's offense. However, if Dortmund fail to finalise contract extension talks with the German winger by winter, he could be placed on the club's selling list next summer, as they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer in 2027.
