Xavi has also claimed that Laporta misled him during his final months as Barca manager, and that the president's advisor, Alejandro Echevarría, was the one who really pulled all the strings behind the scenes at the club. And, since I still had motivation and saw a great future for the team with the talented young generation coming up, I felt capable," Xavi said.
