Vini intends to tread that path himself, having become a Champions League winner and Ballon d’Or contender at Santiago Bernabeu. He wants to take lessons from all-time greats that transcend their chosen professions.

Speaking to GQ about his role models, Vinicius said: "Cristiano Ronaldo has always inspired me with his incredible work and dedication; he never stops striving to be the best. LeBron James for the same reasons, but also for what he's done for his community, proving that greatness goes beyond performance. And, of course, Brazilian legends like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Neymar, who represent so much to the Brazilian people and to Brazilian football. They've shown the world the talent and joy we bring to the game."

Vinicius has achieved plenty at the age of 25, but there are still many targets for him to hit. The South American added on his ambition: "I've already achieved a lot, but my dreams are far from over. I want to win more trophies with my club, win the most important competitions with the national team, and continue inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves. My biggest dream is to leave a legacy that goes beyond football, especially with all the work I'm doing through my foundation to improve the education system in Brazil."

Vinicius only has two years left to run on his contract with Real Madrid and has been the subject of transfer gossip. A lucrative move to join Portuguese icon Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League has been speculated on.
