Ronaldo was banned for an obscene gesture he performed after hearing supporters of Al-Shabab chant Lionel Messi's name to taunt him earlier this week. He was subsequently handed a one-game suspension and a fine of 30,000 Saudi Riyals (£6,300), but he was in the stadium to watch Nassr play Hazm, and fans made sure he heard their appreciation.

Ronaldo has been in electric form for Nassr this season, scoring 22 league goals and registering nine assists in just 20 games. Still, Nassr are second in the Saudi Pro League, behind leaders Al-Hilal, who are yet to lose this season.

Nassr are next in action against Al Ain in the first leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final. They then return to domestic action against Al-Raed next weekend.
